On the occasion, Asif said that the unfortunate incident took place on November 11, 2024, around 3:30 p.m. on the Elizabeth Line.

London Transport Police should use CCTV footage to trace the individuals involved, the defense minister added.

He added that such despicable incidents of threats and harassment were not only shameful but also unfortunate for the 1.7 million British-Pakistani citizens residing in the United Kingdom.

A day earlier, Geo News exclusively reported that the defense tsar was threatened with a knife attack while traveling with a friend on the London Underground’s Elizabeth line on Monday afternoon.

This is not the first time that Pakistani officials or political leaders have been harassed and heckled in the British capital.

Recently, the vehicle of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa was attacked by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters in the Middle Temple in London.

Former CJP Isa’s car was stopped and hit by a group of PTI protesters last month as he arrived to attend a prestigious event organized by the Honorable Society of the Middle Temple for his elevation to the post of Callee after relinquishing his position as the nation’s highest judge.

Similarly, in August 2023, Justice Humayun Dilawar – who convicted PTI founder Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case – was hounded by PTI supporters while he was undertaking judicial training with other judges from the University of Hull.

In similar incidents, PML-N leaders Marriyum Aurangzeb and Hina Pervaiz Butt were also harassed and heckled by people associated with the PTI, in London.
