ISLAMABAD: Dispelling speculation over the visit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Pakistan, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said there were no surprises as “we have shared the economic roadmap of the country” with officials of the international financial institution.

The minister made the remarks during a press conference following the visit of the IMF mission, led by Nathan Porter, from November 12 to 15.

“They (the IMF) didn’t say anything that we didn’t already know… there was no surprise,” Aurangzeb said, adding that he welcomed the Fund mission’s visit .
