The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), during its 10 operations across the country, managed to recover 643 kg of drugs and arrest 10 accused including a woman, a spokesperson for the ANF headquarters said on Thursday. .

He informed that 643 kg of drugs worth over Rs 80 million were recovered from the possession of 10 accused including a woman arrested from different areas.

Around 2.4 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of a near-arrested accused near an educational institution located at Chaklala Scheme 3, Rawalpindi.

Meanwhile, another 170 grams of hashish was recovered from an accused arrested near a university in Peshawar.

In the third operation, 97 grams of hashish were recovered from a drug dealer captured in a slum near a school in Faisalabad.

Around 200 intoxicant tablets were recovered from two suspects arrested in two raids near a college and a university in the satellite town of Quetta.

The arrested accused confessed to supplying drugs to students of educational institutions.

The spokesperson further informed that in another operation, 24 kg of opium and 2.4 kg of hashish were recovered from a vehicle intercepted near the highway toll plaza. Islamabad and one accused was arrested.
Another 2.4 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused riding a motorcycle on Rawat Road, Rawalpindi.

Meanwhile, ANF personnel also recovered 244.8 kg of opium and 357.6 kg of hashish from a vehicle intercepted near Samundri Interchange of Faisalabad. At least two suspects were arrested during the operation.

In another operation, 66 grams of heroin was recovered from a package bound for Maldives at a courier office located on Faisal Road, Karachi.

In the latest operation, 8 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused arrested near Qasim Chowk in Hyderabad.

Separate cases under the anti-narcotics law have been registered against the arrested accused and further investigations are underway.
