The delegation, alongside JUI-F Sindh General Secretary Allama Rashid Mehmood Somro, also expressed concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Sindh and urged for protection of lives and property of the people.

President Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured that the issue of registration of religious schools would be resolved as promised. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has ordered the Sindh government and police to take immediate steps to restore law and order.

The delegation also congratulated President Zardari for the conviction of the killers of Dr Khalid Mahmood Somro and praised the role of Sindh Police in the investigation.

Earlier, the federal cabinet on Friday approved amendments to the Societies Registration Act, 1860, ruling that the law would first be passed as is and then the President would issue an ordinance amending the law, allowing madrassas to register either under the company registration or education umbrella. ministry.
