Textile exports up 10% to $9.9 billion in first six months of FY25 Blogging Sole

ISLAMABAD: A 10 percent increase in textile exports to $9.9 billion was observed during the first half of the current FY25, compared to exports of $8.29 billion during the same period of fiscal year 24, News reported Monday.

However, in the first six months, FY25 showed a 3% decline in exports compared to the $9.39 billion exports recorded in FY22.

For the entire calendar year 2024, textile exports amounted to $17.47 billion, compared to $16.07 billion in calendar year 2023, an increase of 9%, according to the latest textile trade figures.

Trade data for the first 6 months of the current FY25 shows that in July 2024, textile exports fell by 3% to $1.27 billion, compared to $1.31 billion in the same month of exercise 24.

However, when compared to exports of $1.47 billion recorded in the same month of FY22, exports in July FY25 fell by 14%.

Moreover, in August FY25, exports increased by 13% to $1.64 billion, compared to $1.46 billion in the same month of FY24.

In September, textile exports recorded a reasonable rise of 18% to $1.61 billion, compared to $1.36 billion exports in the same month of FY24. In October, exports remained at $1.63 billion, an increase of 13% compared to $1.44 billion for the same period in FY24.

In November, exports remained at $1.46 billion compared to $1.32 billion in the same month of FY24, an increase of 11 per cent.

However, when compared to exports of $1.74 billion recorded in November FY22, exports during the same period of FY25 declined by 16% to $1.46 billion .

Similarly, exports during the months of December jumped 11% to $1.48 billion as against $1.40 billion exports during the same month of December FY24, but exports have declined by 9% from FY22 exports of $1.62 billion.
