Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) of Pakistan and met with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) , General Syed Asim Munir, the army’s media wing announced on Monday.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current regional security environment and explored avenues for bilateral defense cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
On his arrival, General Bagheri laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan. He was accorded a guard of honor by a well-prepared contingent of the Pakistan Army.
The visit highlights continued efforts by both countries to strengthen regional security ties and strengthen bilateral military collaboration.
