Foreign Ministry spokesperson Shafqat Khan condemned further attacks by the Israeli army during the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.

In a weekly press briefing, Khan expressed Pakistan’s strong opposition to the escalation of violence despite the ceasefire agreement.

The FP spokesperson also provided an update on a recent tragic incident in Morocco, where a boat capsized last week. Fortunately, 22 Pakistanis survived the disaster and their names have been shared by authorities.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed that the situation is being closely monitored and that Moroccan authorities have been cooperative in dealing with the incident.

Pakistan’s stance on Gaza was reiterated by Khan, who said the country welcomed the ceasefire in Gaza.

He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to restoring the quality of life in Gaza, emphasizing that the nation opposes Israeli attacks during the ceasefire period.

In response to a question on Afghan nationals living in Pakistan, Khan clarified that Pakistan will continue to implement its existing policies regarding Afghan refugees.

He said there are currently no plans to change the policy towards Afghan nationals residing in the country.
