A murder of an American Pakistani girl 14 years old in Quetta led to the arrest of her father and uncle, who admitted to having planned the murder for his use of social media.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Monday around 11 p.m. in the Balochi Street district, where Hira was shot in front of her house.

Initially, the case was treated as an unresolved murder and his father, inwarul haq, made a report to the Gawalmandi police station, naming strangers such as suspects. However, following an investigation and evidence collected at the scene, the police began to suspect family members.

Police arrested Hira’s father and other family members for interrogation. The case was given to the serious investigation into crime (SCI), which made significant progress in the investigation.

The investigation revealed that Hira’s father initially declared to the police that he and his daughter were on his way to visit his brother-in-law in the Khassaleh Khurd region when unknown attackers shot his daughter.

In his statement, Haq said that after leaving their house, he had returned briefly inside to return his brother’s mobile phone. At that moment, he heard shots and rushed outside to find his daughter, Hira, lying injured near the door.

Despite the efforts to take him to the hospital, Hira died of her injuries during treatment. He also declared that he and his family have lived in the United States for almost 28 years before arriving in Pakistan with their children in January.

They arrived in Lahore on January 15 and came to Quetta on January 22. However, after investigating the scene and recorded witness statements, the police were suspicious of the family.

After investigation, the police discovered that the father and his brother-in-law had planned the murder. The two individuals admitted crime. Sources within the police have confirmed that the reason behind the murder was linked to the use of social media by the victim.

Hira’s father expressed his dissatisfaction with his presence on social networks, in particular his Tiktok and other social media activities. Despite repeated warnings, Hira had not stopped, which led her father to bring her back to Pakistan and lead the planned murder.

Rabiya Tariq, police spokesperson, confirmed that the initial investigation had revealed the father’s objections to her daughter’s social media activities, in particular his Tiktok videos. Police continue to investigate the case.

In response to the murder of a young American Pakistani citizen, the United States Embassy in Pakistan contacted the relevant authorities to approach the case.
