Seven suspects held more murder of 7 -year -old boy in Karachi Blogging Sole

Seven individuals were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder of a seven -year -old boy, Sarim, who was allegedly killed after being raped in the northern Karachi region of the port city.

According to the investigation authorities, the suspects include a Madrassa religious attended by Sarim, a plumber, three guards and two residents of the victim’s apartments complex.

The investigative authorities said that DNA reports on any of the suspects had yet been received and that additional measures will be taken after receiving reports.

The minor was found dead in the underground water tank of his apartment in North Karachi on January 18 after being missing on January 7. An autopsy confirmed that Sarim was subject to sexual abuse before being strangled.

Police confirmed that they have received a first report showing that Sarim was subject to sexual assault, but they expect final forensic conclusions.

Meanwhile, new developments were revealed in the case of two other children, Aliyan, five and Ali Raza, six, who disappeared in the Karachi garden on January 14.

Police authorities have revealed that a sniff dog brought from Hyderabad has helped identify a potential location near Kashti Masjid in Lyari. An eyewitness also reported having seen the children who have disappeared near the mosque.

Given the proximity of the Lyari river with the identified site, a cleaning operation was also launched in the river after the control account. Research efforts are underway, heavy machines being used to clean the additional areas along the river.

The disappearance of Sarim, followed by the other two disappeared children from the garden, prompted the Karachi police on Friday to build a team under the supervision of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), to retrace the gangs involved in such incidents.

The Karachi police chief ordered the Chairman of the Committee to submit a stage report by February 3, 2025.
