
Bajaur: Police arrested a 20 -year -old suspect on Thursday in the brutal rape and the murder of a four -year -old girl in Mamond Tehsil in Bajaur with the suspect, who is a close relative of the victim, a lawyer would have confessed crime.
Addressing a press conference at his office, the district police officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq revealed that the suspect had attracted the child with the promise of Samosas, sexually assaulted him, then strangled to death.
The DPO was flanked by the police superintendent (SP) Naveed Iqbal, the deputy director of the police (DSP) Hunar Khan and the house officer of the Station (SHO) Ehsanullah.
“To hide the crime, the suspect also tried to club his body with stones, trying to degrade him beyond recognition,” the police manager for journalists told.
DPO RAFIQ said that the arrest was made within 12 hours of the incident – thanks to the cooperation of local residents.
“The suspect admitted having perpetuated the heinous crime during the interrogation,” said the police manager, adding that an explicit content had also been found on his mobile phone, while forensic evidence had been sent for more in -depth analysis.
The tragic incident scandalized the community, the inhabitants in mourning and demanding justice for the brutal murder of the young minor in the midst of police insurance. Police also declared that the investigation was underway and that the authorities were committed to ensuring that the aggressor was faced with the entire strength of the law.
The arrest sent shock waves to the local community, the authorities promising to guarantee justice to the victim and his family. This is not the first time that the Bajaur police act quickly in such cases. Last year, they arrested the murderer of a seven -year -old boy in Khar within 24 hours.
Earlier this month, seven people were detained with suspicion of participation in the murder of a seven-year-old boy, Sarim, who would have been killed after being raped in a densely populated district of the port city of Karachi.
The minor was found dead in the underground water tank of his apartment in North Karachi on January 18 after being missing on January 7. An autopsy confirmed that Sarim was subject to sexual abuse before being strangled.
According to the investigation authorities, the suspects include a Madrassa religious attended by Sarim, a plumber, three guards and two residents of the victim’s apartments complex.
