Islamabad: The District Administration sealed the Pattan office, an organization of civil society, for having operated “illegally”.
The Pattan Coalition-38 is a network of civil society organizations (CSO), unions, community organizations (CBO) and intellectuals.
In a statement today, the administration said that it had sealed the Pattan office in the F-15 sector of Islamabad, noting that the non-governmental organization was dissolved in 2019. He added that no court n ‘ had canceled the dissolution of the NGO to date.
Earlier this month, the organization – in its report on the general elections of February 8, entitled “Voter war?” – required the creation of a commission of inquiry to investigate and hold responsible to the officials of the alleged electoral rigging, The news reported.
The report urged the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) to make its commitment to investigate the allegations made by the commissioner of Rawalpindi, Liaquat Ali Chattah, who publicly accused the head of the ECP and a former high -level judge.
In addition, the report called on human rights groups and women’s rights, the national commission on women’s status, UN women and UNDP to demand that ECP and the government immediately go All seats reserved for women and minorities without further delay.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) described the Pattan report a continuation of “baseless propaganda and manufactured to defame the institutions”.
A spokesperson for the electoral organization said it would have been appropriate to take the point of view of the Electoral Commission before publishing the report.
He stressed that the electoral commission would not be under pressure by such tactics and will continue to exercise its functions in accordance with the Constitution and the Law. He said that this report shows that Pattan and its civil servants are part of a conspiracy organized to defame the institutions of the country.
He argued that it is very important to clarify here that the electoral commission has displayed forms 46, 45 and 47 received from return agents on its website without any change, which are still available today, and in this regard , the parties concerned have deposited their petitions in the electoral courts in accordance with the law, whose hearing is underway and certain courts also made decisions on petitions after hearing the positions of the parties.
