Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, a senior official from Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), was transferred to the Kot Lakhpat prison hospital in Lahore due to health problems.
According to a press release from the spokesperson for the PTI chief, the state of Senator Chaudhry deteriorated in the prison, which prompted the administration to move it to the hospital under strict security measures.
The spokesman also reported that Senator Chaudhry had undergone coronary pontage surgery. After the procedure, his condition has improved and he is now out of danger.
Senator Chaudhry has been incarcerated in Kot Lakhpat prison since May 9, 2023, as part of the PTI activities. His health problems have raised concerns among his supporters and the public.
