Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his appreciation for the rapid and decisive action of the security forces, congratulating them for having neutralized the enemies of humanity.

He added that the sacrifices made by the soldiers of the nation in the fight against terrorism will never be forgotten and that the government remains fully determined to eradicate the terrorism of Pakistan.

The Pakistani army led a successful operation in the Karak district in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on February 21, killing six terrorists.

The operation was carried out following intelligence reports indicating the presence of terrorists in the region, Express News reported.

According to inter-service public relations (ISPR), the Pakistani army has taken effective measures, resulting in the death of six terrorists during the operation.

The security forces continue the release operations in the region to eliminate the remaining terrorists.

The soldiers added that the operation was part of the continuous efforts to eliminate the remaining terrorist elements in the region. “The disinfection operation continues to ensure that the area is released from any remaining threat,” the statement said.

The ISPR also stressed that the sacrifices of soldiers involved in the operation strengthen Pakistan’s commitment to rid the country of terrorism and to ensure peace and stability.
