The fire that broke out on Monday evening in a Karachi warehouse belonging to an online food delivery company was brought under control after hours of intense fire -fighting efforts.

Firefighter chief Humayun Ahmed said the warehouse was missing appropriate ventilation, adding that heavy machines had been used to unravel a warehouse wall to allow firefighters to enter the premises.

The administration of the warehouse also does not have a compulsory fire certificate without objection (NOC), according to the chief of the firefighters.

Although they have reached the unhappy storage site located in the Nazimabad region of the port city, the firefighters could not enter the premises due to excessive smoke and a lack of ventilation, leaving them unable to start fire fighting efforts, even four hours after the fire of the fire.

The officials pulled a warehouse wall to let the smoke escape so that the fire can be sprayed.

The warehouse, filled with various goods, including grocery articles, has only one entry point, which complicated the situation, said the heads of the fire service.

Five firefighters participated in the operation.

This conflagration follows a major fire in a shopping center near Teen Talwar in the Karachi region in Clifton on February 18, just under a month ago.

Almost two months earlier, a night fire on a Port City furniture market emptied more than 30 stores before being under control. The fire took place the furniture market near Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-E-Jauhar on December 31.
