The chief of staff of the army (COAS) ASIM MUNNID undertake to court the planners and facilitators of the deadly attack of the canton of Bannu, said inter-service public relations (ISPR) in a statement on Thursday.

The declaration comes two days after the security forces managed to thwart a loose terrorist attack against Bannu’s cantonment at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing the 16 activists who tried to interfere in the establishment, according to the ISPR.

He stressed that the barbaric targeting of civilians, especially children, women and the elderly, revealed the real intentions of TTP terrorists as enemies of Islam.

Stressing the central role of the local community, the army chief reiterated that national unity is imperative in the fight against terrorism and assured that the armed forces would spare no effort to ensure the security and security of the inhabitants of Pakistan.

While addressing the troops, General Munnir praised their heroic actions, recognizing their rapid and decisive response by neutralizing the attackers and thwarting their harmful creations.

He also declared that the fight against the TTP and their facilitators, acting at the request of hostile elements, would continue until its logical conclusion.

COAs stressed that terrorist groups, including TTP, continued to operate from Afghan soil against Pakistan.

He stressed that the use of weapons and foreign equipment in recent terrorist attacks was clear proof that Afghanistan remained a safe refuge for such elements.

He reaffirmed that no entity would be authorized to disrupt the peace and stability of Pakistan.
