Islamabad:
The Federal Minister of Religious Affairs has advised young people to pay very careful to share any material on social networks, declaring that sometimes they involuntarily share content containing blasphemy.
“The young generation should use social media with great caution. Sometimes they may not even realize that they share offensive or disrespectful content,” said Minister, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
He said that the publication of such content can have serious consequences and, therefore, parents should keep an eye on their children to ensure that they do not share any offensive article on social networks.
The Minister said that in response to the United Nations Declaration of Islamophobia day, Pakistan observes World Day for the Protection of the Prophet (PSL) honor each year.
He said the Ministry of Religious Affairs also sent letters to all the provinces to mark this day.
He said that certain malicious elements commit a blasphemy on social networks, and that such complaints should be reported on the portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
“The venerated personality through which we derive our identity is none other than the prophet of the hole (PSL),” he added.
