The military parade of Pakistan Day was held on Sunday in Aiwan-E-Sadr in Islamabad, commemorating the historic resolution of Lahore of 1940.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a demonstration of military prowess and national unity.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the heads of the armed forces, and other dignitaries attended the event.
Different formations of aircraft Sherdil, Mirage, F-16, JF-17 Thunder and J-10C presented an impressive flypast, hovering in the sky with remarkable precision and agility.
President Asif Ali Zardari, addressing Pakistan Day parade on Sunday, underlined the nation’s commitment to protect its sovereignty and freedom, declaring that the people and the armed forces are ready to make a sacrifice for the country.
Speaking during the event held in Aiwan-E-Sadr, the president underlined the principles of “unity, faith and discipline” as a foundation to overcome the challenges.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices made for the independence of Pakistan and reaffirmed the commitment of the country to establish a modern providence -based state based on equality, justice and the rule of law.
Zardari warned against external threats from India and militant groups, ensuring that the armed forces and the nation united to thwart harmful creations.
He stressed the need to strengthen national defense, stimulate economic sectors and create job possibilities for young people, which he called the largest asset in the country.
He also reiterated the unwavering support of Pakistan to the inhabitants of Kashmir and Palestine, urging the international community to ensure their right to self -determination.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari examined the contingents of the armed forces, who stood in immaculate formation for the Pakistan parade.
A presidential salute was presented to him as the national anthem has played, marking the ceremonial procedure.
The president arrived on the site in a traditional presidential tank, escorted by his bodyguards on horseback, adding to the greatness of the occasion.
The event also presented a military group playing patriotic tunes, further improving the spirit of national pride and celebration.
