- Shafqat Khan says they operate in collusion with terrorists.
- He says they hid behind a facade of alleged grievances.
Islamabad: the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Shafqat Ali Khan, said on Thursday that a press release published by certain United Nations experts was based on selective and unasical media reports.
“We have taken note of the press release published by certain UN experts…. It is imperative that public declarations of this nature respect the principles of objectivity, avoid selective criticism, reflect factual precision and recognize the full context of the situation,” said Khan in his weekly press point.
He said this in response to the request of UN human rights experts for the release of Baloutches activists recently arrested in Pakistan.
Police repressed the members of the Baloch Yakjehti committee (BYC) in Karachi and Quetta for having violated the law.
Dr. Mahrang Baloch was appointed among 150 people, including eminent byc leaders, facing accusations encompassing various serious offenses such as terrorism, incentive to rebellion and murder.
Mahrang, as well as 17 others, were arrested under article 3 of the order on public order (MPO).
The case accused Mahrang and Byc’s leaders of helping the rioters shooted on police, passers -by, civilians and their protest colleagues, which resulted in the death of three people and made 15 injured police officers.
The group also faces accusations for their involvement in a chaotic attack against the civil hospital and to force the bodies of the attackers of the attraction of Jaffer Express.
The FIR declares that the accused arrested a private ambulance at Hockey Chowk, beaten the driver and loaded the bodies in the ambulance.
In addition, another FIR was deposited against the leaders of Byc Gulzadi Baloch, Ali Jan, Shoaib, Syed Noor Shah, Waheed, Jahanzeb, Zohaib Baloch and more than 100 other people in the Brasserie police station in Quetta.
A group of independent independent human rights experts said Pakistan was immediately to release Balouthes activists and stop repression against “peaceful” demonstrators.
“We have been monitored with more and more preliminary reports to alleged arrests and forced disappearances of Balouthes activists in recent months, and violent incidents in recent days have considerably increased our concerns,” said experts.
The experts expressed their concern about the climbing of a series of police actions against the byc.
On this subject, the MOFA spokesman underlined the participation of individuals arrested in the abuses of the law and human rights violations.
Unfortunately, he said, the comments made by UN experts lack balance and proportionality, minimizing the civilian victims inflicted by terrorist attacks while ignoring the crimes committed by disbelievers who deliberately disturb public services, obstructing freedom of movement and creates an atmosphere of insecurity.
“Any credible assessment must recognize that these elements are not simple demonstrators but participants active in a broader campaign of anarchy and violence. Their abuse of law and human rights violations cannot be ignored.
“Hiding behind a facade of alleged grievances, these elements operate in collusion with terrorists – obvious from their coordinated efforts to hinder the responses of the State, including synchronized roadblocks facilitating terrorist attacks. The last test of this Nexus was the illegal delay of the district hospital of the Jaffaire, where they strongly designed the body organisms of five lands. Three of these bodies were recovered from these violent demonstrators by the police. »»
The spokesperson added that legal proceedings against individuals were strictly in line with the law of the country.
“Any declaration of the United Nations mandate holders who throws aspersions on this procedure risks an induced interference in the subsary issues before the national courts. Such interventions undermine not only the rule of law but also established a disturbing precedent of not taking into account the sovereign legal processes,” he said.
In addition, Khan said that the selective focus model and disproportionate by the United Nations machinery would have no constructive purposes.
Instead, he said, he inadvertently embarked on extremist elements, fueled the sensationalism of the unjustified media, incited disorder and – the most alarming – exacerbated societal polarization and fragmentation.
“It is both perplexed and deeply ironic that the declaration published by the Holitiness of the United Nations special procedures is in striking contradiction with the essence and the very spirit of the UN resolution 2354. claims to defend. “”
“The International Human Rights Act unequivocally prohibits individuals, entities or arms rights groups to infringe the rights and security of others. It also firmly supports the right of sovereign states to take lawful and necessary measures to maintain public order and ensure the security of their citizens. ”
He added that the government was forced to protect the life and security of its people, especially in areas where innocent civilians brought the weight of terrorism sponsored by foreigners.
“He has always exercised policies aimed at promoting social and economic development for all segments of society, regardless of their ethnic or religious history. However, the persistent threat posed by terrorists and their catalysts – through odious attacks against civilians, security forces and vital public infrastructure – underlines these efforts. “
“In this regard, the measures undertaken by the government are fully in line with international law, which categorically prohibits incentive to violence and terrorism. There can be no tolerance, not to mention impunity, terrorists, their facilitators or their accounts. ”
The spokesman said that institutional and legal mechanisms remained fully available for all citizens requesting compensation in accordance with their constitutional rights.
“We maintain an open and constructive dialogue with the United Nations special procedures for holders and will continue our commitment according to the principles of mutual respect, objectivity and adherence to the facts,” he added.
