Wednesday evening, at least six passengers were killed during a brutal attack on a bus bounded by Karachi in the Gwadar Kalmat region.
The incident occurred in the Kalmat region, where five people died instantly, and one succumbed to injuries later during hospital treatment. The authorities confirmed that the victims, all traveling to Karachi, included a man from Multan.
This attack adds to an increasing number of violent incidents in Baloutchistan. A few days earlier, armed attackers killed four Punjab workers in Mangochar, Balutchistan.
The workers, who were involved in the installation of tube in Langzai, were targeted and killed by armed men. Local officials confirmed that the victims came from Sadiqabad, Punjab.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sentenced five passengers on Thursday during a shooting incident in the Gwadar Kalmat region.
In separate declarations, the two leaders expressed their condolences, praying for the peace of the deceased, the rapid recovery of the wounded and the strength for the bereaved families.
President Zardari stressed that terrorists are enemies both for the development of the country and the prosperity of Balutchistan, noting that they are opposed to progress in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered authorities to provide the best medical treatment to the injured and to invest in depth in the incident, ensuring that the authors are brought to justice.
He denounced the attackers as enemies of peace and development, condemning their brutal actions.
By reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Prime Minister promised to thwart anti-state agendas. He also congratulated the security forces and law enforcement organizations for their efforts to protect the country, expressing the national pride of their actions.
