Lahore: On the instructions of the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, the main minister Marriyum Aurangzeb made surprise visits on disguised hospitals on Saturday, evaluating health establishments and patient care.

The minister visited the Jinnah hospital and the Lahore children’s hospital, passing through various counters as an ordinary citizen to assess first -hand services.

During the inspection, she examined the hospital services, evaluated cleanliness and examined the availability of doctors and medical staff.

Aurangzeb has also interacted with patients’s attendants to find out about the supply of free drugs and the quality of treatment.

The visit occurred a few days after Punjab CM paid the surprise visits to a Harbanspura field hospital as well as the Jinnah hospital to take stock of the available medical facilities.

During the visit of Jinnah hospital, she ordered the suspension of the hospital superintendent (MS) of the hospital for complaints of mismanagement.

During the visit to the Harbanspura campaign hospital, she checked the availability and quality of medicines, interacted with patients and asked for the installations available at the country hospital.

The chief minister ordered that the supply of drugs in government hospitals in Punjab and the immediate payment of government hospitals are assured. She also ordered that immediate measures should be taken for the supply of free drugs to government hospitals.

She also chaired a special meeting to examine the administrative affairs of the Mayo hospital. She said the list of medicines should be displayed in each government hospital as well as installing electronic advice for the list of medicines.

The chief minister also advised to activate and underline the “counters of complaints of Maryam Nawaz” in all government hospitals for the convenience of patients, in addition to providing fans of mist in open waiting areas.
