The Balutchistan government has imposed a prohibition on night trips on several key national roads in the friendly province
The decision, which was applied by a notification issued by various assistant commissioners, affects the main paths in districts such as Kachhi, Noshki, Musa Khel, Gwadar and Zhob.
According to notification, the restriction applies to public transport, prohibiting travel from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The ban covers several important highways, including the Quetta-Taftan, Loralai-dera Ghazi Khan Road, Sibi Road, Coastal Highway and Zhob-Dera Ismail Khan Road road.
This decision comes after several recent incidents, including a suicide bombardment near a rally of Balouthistan National Party-Mangal (BNP-M) at the Lak in Mastung.
During a separate attack last week, terrorists killed at least eight people, including four workers and four police officers, in the Kalat and Noshki districts.
In addition, five passengers were executed two days ago after armed men intercepted a bus to Karachi in the Gwadar Kalmat region, forcibly removing the victims before killing them.
Another major attack targeted a paramilitary convoy on the Nushki-Dalbandin motorway, leading to the death of five people, including three members of the staff of the Frontier Corps (FC) and injuries to 35 others.
The security situation has also deteriorated with an attack on the Jaffar Express by activists affiliated with the Balutchistan Liberation Army (Bla). The attackers exploded a railway, taken more than 440 hostage passengers and committed security forces in a prolonged confrontation.
An authorization operation by security personnel has led to the elimination of 33 activists and the rescue of hostages. However, 26 passengers, including 18 security staff, three rail and government officials and five civilians, lost their lives.
In addition, three FC staff members were killed during an attack on a security checkpoint before the train ambush.
