At least 14 bodies were found in the south of Gaza, including the bodies of eight doctors, a week after Israeli soldiers shot the ambulances.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said the bodies had been recovered after “seven days of silence” and have access to the Rafah area where they were seen for the last time. Doctors were found with those of six members of the Gaza Civil Defense Agency and an employee of the United Nations agency, said Palestine Red Crescent Society Declaration published on X Sunday.
One of his doctors has remained missing, said the organization.
IFRC expressed indignation following the recovery of medical colleagues who were killed during their service in the Gaza Strip, asking: “When it stops?”
“My heart is broken,” said IFRC secretary general Jagan Chapagain, in a statement. “These devoted ambulance workers responded to the wounded. They were humanitarian workers. They wore emblems that should have protected them; Their ambulances were clearly marked. They should have returned to their family; They did not do it. ”

He stressed that by virtue of the rules of international humanitarian law, civilians, humanitarian workers and health services must be protected.
“Instead of another call to all parties to protect and respect humanitarian workers and civilians, I ask a question: when will it stop?” Said Chapagain. “All parties must stop the murder.”
Earlier this month, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to increase military force against Hamas while Israel taken up strikes in Gaza After a two-month ceasefire.
The Israeli army recognized that its troops had opened fire on the ambulances. He told AFP in a statement this week that his forces had “opened fire to Hamas vehicles and eliminated several Hamas terrorists”.
“A few minutes later, additional vehicles have advanced the troops with suspicion” which “responded by pulling towards suspicious vehicles,” he said.
IFRC said that last week’s attack in Rafah was the most deadly attack on its colleagues all over the world since 2017. The number of volunteers and staff of the PRCS killed since the war between Israel and Hamas began in October 2023 is now 30, the World Federation said.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza managed by Hamas said on Saturday that at least 921 people had been killed on Palestinian territory since Israel resumed its large -scale strikes.
