In an important decision to limit human smuggling and maintain law and order, nine control posts from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) received a police station status in Balutchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, according to a notification obtained by Geo News.
According to the new order, seven Balutchistan control posts and two in KP obtained the status of the police posts.
Up to two FIA stations named Gavi and Anzarkai, were established in the Tribal Kurram agency.
Meanwhile, the carban, Noor Wahab, Barbacha and Rajay stations were created in the Chagai district of Balutchistan, alongside the stations of Ghazni and Qamardin Karez in the Zhob district.
Another FIA station, Parag Koh, was established in the Balutchistan Panjgur district.
This development intervened a few days after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led the federal government agencies, the FIA and the Intelligence Bureau (IB), to further intensify operations against human traffickers last month.
The Prime Minister, during a meeting with the authorities and civil servants of the FIA and the IB in the presence of ministers and interior secretary, expressed hope that with the implacable and worthy efforts undertaken by these agencies, the unpleasant practice of human trafficking would end forever.
Prime Minister Shehbaz had appreciated the authorities and agency officials to catch the leader of a notorious gang involved in the trafficking in human beings.
He noted with appreciation the arrest of Usman Jajja involved in many cases of trafficking in human beings, saying: “Black activity in the trafficking in human beings has earned a bad reputation for Pakistan while a certain number of nationals have lost their lives in boats, capsuled incidents near Italy and Morrocco, which also created a huge embarrassment the stranger. “
