Trump threatens additional additional prices on China
Washington: US President Donald Trump threatened enormous imports on imports on Monday from China if Beijing did not withdraw his reprisal plans, adding that Washington would start negotiations with other countries that wish them.
“If China does not withdraw its 34% increase above its trade abuses already in the long term by tomorrow, on April 8, 2025, the United States will impose additional prices on China by 50%, from April 9,” said Trump in a social position.

Beijing issued countermeasures after Trump announced another price hike on goods in the second largest economy in the world last week.
Since his return to the presidency, Trump has imposed 20% additional rights to Chinese imports on his alleged role in the fentanyl supply chain.
A new 34% levy from the country’s products is expected to come into play on Wednesday, bringing the additional rate this year to 54%.
It is not immediately known how Trump’s new threatening factors in this calculation.
China’s response included export controls on rare earth elements and Beijing plans for its own 34% tariff on American products, stacking at the top of existing Chinese samples that start on April 10.
Trump targeted Beijing’s economic practices on social networks on Monday, criticizing his “non -monetary prices” and “illegal businesses”.
He added that “all discussions with China regarding their meetings requested with us will be dismissed”.
But “negotiations with other countries, which have also requested meetings, are starting to take place immediately,” Trump wrote on his social platform Truth.
