Sindh -chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, held a meeting with leaders of the Hindu community of the Larkana and Sukkur division, where he announced that his government had recruited Kolhis, Bhils and Meghwars in the Sindh police as part of an inclusive hiring policy.
He approached the false idea that the Hindus are specifically targeted in abduction cases, declaring that in 2024-25, out of 310 reported kidnappings, only eight victims were Hindus.
Among these, seven have been recovered, leaving only one case involving a Hindu, Rajesh, unresolved.
He added that outside the Hindus, five Muslims were not recovered in current cases either. Otherwise, the government radically controlled ransom abductions.

The meeting was followed by the provincial ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon, Syed Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Mpas Jameel Soomro, Rajveer Singh, Lal Chand Ukrani, Veerji Kolhi, Sukh Dev Asardas and Official Senior, including the secretary, the secretary at the house.
At the beginning, CM Murad recognized the Hindu community as the residents of origin of the Sindh, recognizing their important contributions to the development of the province in sectors such as trade, trade, education, health and others.
Shah pointed out that the president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, clearly indicated that any injustice against minorities is unacceptable, and the Sindh government is committed to prioritizing the resolution of the problems encountered by the Hindu community.
The chief minister examined the situation of the law and the order, in particular in divisions like Kashmore and Kandhkot, who reported insecurity.
He noted that if the situation in Shikarpur and Larkana has improved, other efforts are still necessary. The reports also highlighted an increase in motorcycles and car flights to Larkana.
Members of the Hindu community have expressed concerns about the illegal occupation of the temple lands (Ghonsalas), cases of kidnapping and seizing the land.
They indicated that Rajesh had disappeared for five months, which prompted the chief minister to order the IGP to prioritize his recovery.
The Minister of the Interior of the Sindh and the IGP informed the chief Minister of the Repression in progress against the criminals and the Dacoits in the river regions, informing him that 152 Dacoits were targeted in the operations, during which 20 police officers were martyred.
“The Sindh offers more protection to its minorities than any other province,” he said. “The PPP has never abandoned its minority communities and will never do it,” he said.
To ensure better coordination and rapid resolution of questions, the chief minister announced the training of committees in each division, including representatives of the Hindu Panchayat, commissioners and excavations to respond to the concerns of the communities.
CM Murad asked the police to act against street crime in all major cities, reiterating the position of the government’s business: “We will eliminate criminals, and not collaborate with them,” he concluded.
