Hyderabad:
Eight months after a companion by Shaheed Fazil Rahu, an imposing figure that emerged during the movement of restoration of democracy, took his life in the tomb of Rahu, his son would also have committed suicide in the same place. Friday, the incident occurred in Rahuki, district of Badin.
The corpse of the 44 -year -old comrade, Ayaz Jokhio, was found in the premises of the mausoleum, then moved to the district headquarters for the autopsy.
Later, Jokhio’s brother and family members, including women and children, in addition to dozens of supporters, organized a demonstration with the corpse, accusing the former provincial minister, Ismail Rahu, for the suicide of Jokhio and that of his father, comrade Ali Muhammad Jokhio.
Sarang Latif Jokhio, brother of the deceased, said that his father and the whole family had worked for the Rahus since the 1980s, but that their loyalty has been reimbursed with corpses. They urged the authorities to carry out an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to suicides.
The demonstrators then dispersed and the deceased was buried next to his father’s grave in the village of Qabil Jokhio. Sarang said that before death, his brother had told his family not to allow Rahu to come to his funeral. Ismail Rahu, which belongs to the Pakistani people party (PPP), succeeded his father in politics.
