The president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, was re-elected to his post for another four-year term while the group based on Zulfikar Ali Bhutto held intra-party elections on Saturday.
According to an official press release published by the PPP, the elections took place at the central secretariat of the party in Islamabad, where Bilawal has kept his post as president.
In addition to the re -election of Bilawal, other key positions have also been filled.
Humayun Khan was elected secretary general, Nadeem Afzal Chan as an information secretary, and Aamna Piracha as a finance secretary.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended sincere congratulations to Bilawal after being re -elected president of the PPP.
In his congratulating message, he also congratulated Humayun Khan, Nadeem Afzal and others. The Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for the newly elected management of the PPP.
He said the PPP would continue to play a key role in the country’s development and progress by representing people’s aspirations under the young Bilawal management.
The Bilawal was elected for the last time as President of the PPP without opposition during the intra-party elections of 2021. The commissioner in the elections in the intra-spare elections, Fauzia Habib, announced the results.
