London: Pakistan High Commissioner in the United Kingdom, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, said his country expects British organizations in charge of law enforcement and other “noisy” demonstrators involved in threatening and criminal behavior.

Addressing a press conference in London, Faisal hopes that those arrested and accused would be dealt with in accordance with the British laws concerned.

While tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi increase following the attack on Pahalgam, the Pakistani demonstrators and the Indian diaspora found themselves face to face and organized demonstrations outside the missions of the two countries in the center of London, during the weekend.

“Early in the morning on Sunday, April 27, around 5:18 p.m., a disbeliever that British law organizations later identified, like Ankit Love-a man at the start of the forties, attacked the premises of the High Commissioner of Pakistan, 34-36 Lowndes Square, London,” he said.

Ankit, boiled stones and saffron color on the exterior wall of the building, breaking several scanns and leaving a saffron stain on the high-commissariat and the main wall, he added.

“Our staff in service immediately informed the metropolitan police, who quickly reached the crime scene and apprehended the suspect, shortly after the incident,” noted the High Commissioner.

According to Dr. Faisal, the attack came following a violent and unruly protest outside the High Commission on Friday, April 25, 2025, involving members of the Indian / British Indian community, which sang anti-Pakistani and anti-Musulmans slogans.

“Several demonstrators-some wearing saffron clothes, generally associated with Hindutva extremist groups and waving Indian flags-have engaged in very hostile behavior. They launched racist and Islamophobic abuses on high-commissariat officials, as well as Metropolitan police, he added to several arrests, after altercations with the law enforcement British, “he added.

Dr. Faisal said his office was in continuous contact with the metropolitan police to find all the details of Ankit because his nationality has not yet been revealed by the authorities.

“We expect British organizations responsible for the application of laws to continue ankit, as well as noisy demonstrators held on Friday, in accordance with relevant British laws. Unfortunately, this is not the first incident where the High Commissioner of Pakistan or our Consulates in the United Kingdom was attacked.

“We have reiterated our request to the British authorities to improve the security measures, in order to guarantee the security and integrity of our diplomatic missions and the protection of our diplomatic staff. We expect the host’s authorities to support their responsibilities under the Vienna Convention to ensure the security and dignity of diplomatic missions, “he concluded.
