Karachi: Inflation of Pakistan titles was cooled at 0.3% in annual shift (Yoy) in April 2025, decreasing clearly 17.3% a year earlier and 0.7% in March, driven by general reductions in food and energy categories, said Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

According to the Arif Habib Limited brokerage firm, inflation fell to a lower level of all time.

The data published on Friday revealed that on a monthly basis over the month (MOM), the IPC dropped by 0.8%, against an increase of 0.9% in March.

Urban inflation took place at 0.5% per year, with rural inflation which plunges 0.1%. The urban IPC dropped by 0.7% and the rural IPC slipped by 1.0% on a mom’s basis.

Inflation has constantly dropped. From July to April (10mfy25), inflation was recorded at 4.73%; Unlike this, from July to April, the 2010s’ inflation rate was set at 25.97%.

The sensitive price indicator (SPI), a key gauge of essential elements, also recorded a 3.2% drop in annual sliding, despite a drop of 2.3% in March. On a monthly basis, SPI dropped by 1.7%.

Food and non -alcoholic drinks have had a sharp decline. Perishable foods plunged from 26.7% in annual shift, while wheat prices fell by 36% and onions dropped by almost 75%. On the other hand, some staples such as Pulse Moong and butter increased by 29.8% and 24.5% respectively.

The inflation of the wholesale price index (WPI) also shown alleviation, down 2.2% in annual shift in April, against 1.6% decrease in the previous month. WPI slipped 1.3% compared to March, when it had displayed an increase of 0.3%.

Central inflation – excluding food and energy – was released to 7.4% in urban areas and 9.0% in rural areas, compared to 8.2% and 10.2% in March, respectively. However, on a monthly basis, basic inflation has increased, urban prices increasing by 1.3% and rural prices by 0.9%.

Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuels dropped 2.6% in annual sliding, electricity charges alone lowering 26.6%. Non -food categories have shown mixed trends: education jumped 10.9% while transport costs dropped by 3.9% per year.

The rate of inflation of the middle heart cut, considered as a measurement of underlying inflation trends, fell to 3.8% in urban areas and 3.3% in rural areas in annual sliding. The month in months, it maintained stable at 0.3% in urban areas and dropped 0.1% in rural areas.
