Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs from Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir on Friday, at the PM house and discussed the situation in force in South Asia.

During the meeting, the Saudi Minister said that the kingdom was deeply concerned about the current situation in South Asia, reiterating the call for de -escalation of his country, as well as the peaceful resolution of all pending disputes between Pakistan and India, in accordance with international law and the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

The Saudi Minister of State is on an official day visit in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction at the positive trajectory of the fraternal relations of Pakistan-Saudi, while appreciating the unwavering and unwavering support of the kingdom in Pakistan, through thick and thin.

While discussing the dominant situation in Southern Asia, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the missile and drone strikes from India against Pakistan who had led to the martyrdom of dozens of innocent civilians, including women and children, as well as damage to civil infrastructure.

He pointed out that the acts of uninsured and unjustified aggression of India had violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan, and have seriously endangered regional peace and stability.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the valiant armed forces of Pakistan, who had demonstrated exemplary commitment and courage in the defense of the nation against the harmful advances of the enemy.

He said Pakistan was fully determined to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, in accordance with article 51 of the United Nations Charter. He appreciated the diplomatic efforts of the kingdom to defuse the situation and bring peace in the region.

The Saudi Minister expressed sincere condolences about the loss of a precious civil life.

The Prime Minister also transmitted his warm greetings and respects to the guardian of the two holy mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, as well as to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, received the Minister of State for Saudi Arabia on Foreign Arabia on Friday, Adel Al-Jubeir at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and discussed matual interest issues.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged prospects on the evolution of the regional situation.

The assistant PM expressed its assessment for the constructive diplomatic efforts of the kingdom in the promotion of peace and stability in the region.

The two parties also had discussions on the full spectrum of bilateral relations, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen proven and fraternal links between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
