Rawalpindi: The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR DG), Lieutenant-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that Pakistan had captured any Indian pilot during the new battles against the neighboring country.
Speculations and several videos have been rounding on social networks since Pakistan’s reprisal attack on India, saying that an Indian pilot named Shivangi Singh was arrested in Pakistan after hitting his plane.
Addressing the media on Sunday, the armed forces spokesman was invited to have taken custody of Pakistan in detention and if the pilot would have returned.
“I can confirm to you very clearly that we have no pilot in detention. These are all chatting on social networks. All this is one of the multiple sources of false news and propaganda that have been generated from several sources,” he said.
The Indian government has also described complaints on false social networks, urging the public “not to fall into disinformation”.
Another question concerning the Indian Air Force (IAF) declaration that operations are still underway, despite the fact that the Indian government accepts the ceasefire, the ISPR DG said that the Pakistani armed forces are still vigilant and ready to counter any aggression.
“We have proven it several times on the field,” he added.
