Texas: The Pakistani communities of Houston and Dallas organized Thanksgiving events to celebrate the recent victory of the country over India.

In Houston, Pakistan Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Consul General Ashfaq Chaudhry, and community leaders addressed the event via a video link.

Meanwhile, in Dallas, a prestigious event was organized under the banner of the American Pakistani public affairs committee.

The central theme of the rally was “the role of the American Pakistani community in the light of the recent Indian-Pakistani tensions and the problem of cashmere”.

The objective of dialogue was not only to support peace in South Asia, but also to unite the American Pakistani community to become a strong diplomatic voice which can defend justice and human rights on the world scene.

The event was followed by members of the eminent community, political leaders, doctors, lawyers, young people and individuals from various horizons.

The Pakistan Consul General, Chaudhry, participated as the main guest.

In his speech, he praised the services of Pakistani abroad and said: “The community presents a positive image of Pakistan in the United States. He said that the embassy and the consulate are still being held with the community and are attached to their well-being.”

“Today, we are celebrating a joyful day for our nation, but we must not forget our Pakistani colleagues and Cachemiri brothers who are always confronted with oppression.

“Human rights violations with occupied cashmere are an international reality, and Pakistan will continue to support its Morally, Politically and Diplomatically Cashmirian brothers.”

“We do not want war, but if the assault is imposed on us, we reserve the right to defend ourselves, and Pakistan has always promoted peace, but our armed forces and our nation are ready to meet all the challenges.”

Chaudhry also urged Pakistanis abroad to engage with the American political system and to raise their voice so that the world understands that cashmere is not just a territorial dispute, but a humanitarian question.

On this occasion, the eminent lawyer Naim Sakhiya pointed out that the Pakistanis abroad are not only the backbone of the sending of funds but also the ambassadors of the world image of Pakistan.
