
The United States on Tuesday imposed sanctions on an expedition network which, according to him, sent millions of Iranian oil barrels to China, said the State Department, a few days after Iran and the United States negotiators concluded a fourth cycle of nuclear talks to Oman.
The sale of oil has helped finance the Iranian weapons and attacks of the Houthi group on the Red Sea expedition, the US Navy and Israel, he said.
The network has facilitated oil shipping worthwhile in China in the name of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and its front company, Sepehr Energy, he said.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, however said that recent American sanctions on Iran are not constructive in terms of negotiations,
