Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that Pakistan had broken the myth of India becoming a regional superpower – a perception created after New Delhi spent billions of dollars on military equipment.
The PM Shehbaz said this by visiting the operational base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in Kamra today.
He was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, of the Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif, the Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal, of the Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar, Chief of the Staff of the Army (COAS), General Syed Asim Munnir and the chief of the naval staff, Naveed Ashraf.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by the chief of air staff, the marshal of the air chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
During the visit, the Prime Minister received a complete briefing on the Air Force operational preparation and combat capacities, said inter-service public relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
He got involved with front -line staff – including drivers, engineers and technical staff and expressed a profound appreciation for their professionalism, precision and firm dedication to national defense.

Addressing the Prime Minister Shehbaz said: “Following an unreported assault, the armed forces of Pakistan showed exemplary restraint, strategic pension and operational precision, said inter-service public relations (ISPR) in a statement.
“Their rapid and calibrated response not only neutralized the threat, but also gave a decisive blow to hostile military infrastructure – unequivocally reaffirming the unwavering resolution of Pakistan to protect its sovereignty and its territorial integrity.”
He also noticed: “The whole nation is extremely proud of the value and vigilance of its armed forces. Under the competent stewardship of the military’s chief of staff, our defenders again stressed that the security of Pakistan is inviolable, and any act of belligerance will meet with an energetic, resolved and unusual response.”
India will never remain trapped in its arrogance and pride, he said, adding that Pakistan has shown restraint and patience while responding to the Indian aggression with great thought and deliberation.

The armed forces precisely targeted the enemy military installations, added the Prime Minister.
Stressing the operational success of Pakistan Air Force, the Prime Minister added: “Confirmation of a successful drop in a sixth Indian plane on the night of May 6 and 7, a Mirage-2000 near Pampeore east of Srinagar, is also a testimony of the excellence of combat of the PAF and the flawless resolution of our armed forces.
He praised the visionary leadership of the marshal of the chief of air Zaheer, recognizing his central role in the modernization of the PAF and the lance of the transparent integration of advanced technologies which have considerably improved the operational capacities of force.
In tribute to aviators, he observed: “To our intrepid pilots and our dedicated airlines – your courage and our precision embody the indomitable spirit of the armed forces of Pakistan.
Reaffirming the collective determination of the government and the nation, the Prime Minister concluded: “The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared and resolutely committed to defending every centimeter from our territory. Any aggression will be countered with a timely, proportionate and decisive response. We are united, vigilant and unwavering for the defense of our country.”
The latest climbing of the Indian-Pakistani rivalry old decades began on May 7, while at least 31 civilians were martyred in unreal Indian strikes in different regions of Pakistan and Azad Jammu-et-Cachemire (AJK).
In retaliation, Pakistan has shot down its six fighter planes, including three bursts and dozens of drones. During the four -day dead end, at least 11 soldiers and 40 civilians were martyred in the hands of India.
The ceasefire on Saturday, announced by American president Donald Trump, came after Pakistan launched a reprisal action under “Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos” in response to unrealing missiles from India and drone attacks against Pakistani civilians and military sites.
Using missiles from the long -range FATAH series guided by the Pakistani army and PAF precision ammunition, the ISPR has declared 26 Indian military targets, as well as installations used to target Pakistani citizens, and companies that were responsible for terrorism fume in Pakistan, were struck.
Earlier in the day, the DPM DAR confirmed that the ceasefire interviewed between the United States between the nuclear powers of Pakistan and India had been extended until May 18.
