The Prime Minister’s laptop program program has extended its registration deadline from May 20 to June 1, giving students from additional Pakistan to request free laptops as part of the government’s flagship digital empowerment initiative.

An official of the Prime Minister’s youth program said on Monday that the extension will open “a new opportunity window for students to improve their digital literacy and school performance”.

Last month, the federal government officially relaunched the Prime Minister’s portable computers’ program for 2025, aimed at distributing 100,000 laptops to high -performance students nationally. The deadline for request was set for May 20, 2025.

The program, which is part of a broader thrust to promote intelligent education, aims to distribute 100,000 laptops to talented students pursuing higher education in universities and institutions in the public sector.

According to program guidelines, students enrolled in doctorate, MS / MPHIL, baccalaureate or master’s programs are eligible. Applicants must meet minimum academic criteria: a CGPA of 2.80 or 60% points. First -year students are required to submit the results of the HSSC, while students of the SEP / PHD during their first half must provide transcriptions of their previous diploma.

A quota system has been introduced to ensure representation, 18% of laptops reserved for Balutchistan students and 5% for remote learners. This last category will also be divided between students of the virtual university and Allama Iqbal Open University.

“Only students currently registered are eligible,” noted the manager. “Those who have already obtained their diploma have the right to benefit from the regime, even if they had applied during their studies.”

Students can register via the Digital Youth Hub (DYH) application of the Prime Minister or the official website www.pmyp.gov.pk. A 15 -day window will be provided to raise objections after the publication of the provisional list of merit, followed by the publication of a final list of merit.
