Islamabad: Federal Minister of Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari highlighted on the procedure on the supply of new simple, transparent and friendly net measurements on Tuesday.

The Minister of Power made these remarks during the presidency of an exam meeting on the supply of new net measurement connections via the online portal.

During the meeting, he ordered the relevant authorities to identify and solve the problems that effectively hamper the process.

The Minister also said that the necessary training should be provided to the staff of electricity distribution companies on the functionality of the new portal, and his practical demonstration should also be carried out.

In addition, he pleaded for the launch of awareness programs aimed at educating electricity consumers on the use of the portal and the transparency it offers.

In March of this year, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the firm approved changes to the regulations in the existing net net energy of the roof under which the buyout rate was reduced from RS27 to RS10 per unit.

However, after having received strong criticisms from consumers and traders on reducing the RS27 to RS10 redemption rate per unit, the federal government has decided to review its net solar measurement policy.

Concrete any change in government policy and priorities concerning solar energy, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked the authorities to clean all ambiguities among those concerning the solarization policy through facts and figures.

“There is no change in government policy and priority on solar energy,” said the Prime Minister.

He also ordered the authorities to face the “confusion” surrounding the policy of net measure by facts and figures.
