In a major development, Kuwait has raised its 19 -year -old visa ban on Pakistani citizens, the Pakistani ministry of the Pakistani Ministry abroad said on Monday.

In a statement, the focal person said the Kuwaitian government had resumed work, family, visit, tourists and business visas to Pakistani. He will offer thousands of people employment, business and tourism opportunities in Kuwait, added Malik.

“All of these visas can be obtained via the online platform,” said the focal person, adding that the world opened its doors to qualified Pakistani workers.

He added that an annual employment quota would be allocated to the Pakistanis in Italy, adding that a memorandum of understanding had also been signed with Italy.

“Arab countries are also eager to employ qualified workers from Pakistan,” added the focal person.

Meanwhile, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, Pakistan ambassador to Kuwait, announced his intention to bring 1,200 Pakistani nurses to Kuwait soon to support the country’s health care sector.

He revealed that a first group of 125 nurses were to arrive in Kuwait last week. However, their arrival was delayed due to problems related to housing.

He assured that special teams are actively working to resolve the issue, and nurses should now arrive in the coming days. Iqbal announced an important development of visa facilitation, saying: “I am happy to confirm that the Kuwaiti authorities have resumed the issuance of a wide range of visas to Pakistani nationals, including work, family visit, dependent, tourist and commercial visas – starting in May.”
