Rawalpindi: the chief of staff of the army (COAS) Marshal Syed Asim Munnir met the Minister of Defense in Azerbaijanis on Wednesday, Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asglu Oglu en Lachin en Azerbaijan.
According to a press release published by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting has focused on questions of mutual interest, regional security dynamics and strategies to further improve defense cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The army chief appreciated the strong bilateral relations between the two fraudal countries. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen defense ties with Azerbaijan.
Marshal Munnir accompanies Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his trip to Azerbaijan to attend the Trilateral Summit of Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Federal Minister of Information and Radiation Attaullah Tarar and the special assistant of Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are also part of the high-level delegation.

During the meeting, the two leaders examined the whole spectrum of bilateral relations and expressed their satisfaction with the ascending trajectory of political, economic, defense and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijanic team agreed with the exchange of delegations with regard to advances in investment by Azerbaijan in Pakistan. In this regard, discussions at the level of the delegation will be organized very soon.
