
Karachi: The Sindh government has published an official code of conduct for the collection of sacrificial animal skins during Eid UL ADHA, placing strict regulations on authorizations, display and driving for organizations and people involved.
According to the notification published Thursday, the prior approval must be obtained from the respective commissioner and assistant to collect skins.
Only registered social protection organizations, Madaris and charitable organizations will be eligible for permission to collect skins.
The notification clearly stipulates that prohibited organizations will in no case be authorized to participate in the collection of the sleeves. In addition, no camp or collection banner will be authorized in a public or private space.
Strict restrictions have also been imposed on public announcements and visual screens. The use of speakers and flags on buildings has been prohibited, in order to ensure order and prevent improper use during the religious occasion.
Authorized persons must carry their official authorization documents when collecting skins and are required to present them to the authorities when questioned. Not doing it can lead to legal action.
The government also suspended all weapons licenses from 10 to 12 in Zil Hajj. During this period, all weapons transport authorizations are revoked.
To enforce the compliance, the local SHOs have been authorized to take immediate measures against the offenders of the Code of Driving.
