The Texas Longhorns are the new Softball champions NCAA. Texas jumped everywhere in Texas Tech in a decisive victory of 10-4 in match 3 of Women’s College World Series Friday evening to win the first title in the history of the program.
After being short against his Oklahoma rival in his last two appearances in the championship in 2022 and 2024, Texas was able to overcome a Tech Club game and the star launcher Nijaree Canady thanks to an early assault. The Longhorns made five points during the first round and finally forced the Red Raiders to make a change on the mound, ending an incredible race for Canady of consecutive land launched.
In the end, the Longhorns hung 10 points in the championship match, their more races in a match in the Women’s College World Series.
