  • Bilawal thanks us Govt, Trump, Rubio, for helping to secure the ceasefire.
  • Calls for continuous support for peace through dialogue and diplomacy.
  • Warns that the region is now less safe than before due to the recent conflict.

Former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, warned the American legislators and diplomats that the risk of a large-scale war with India is higher than ever, stressing that recent Indian actions have “dangerously lowered the threshold” for armed conflicts in the region.

Its warning came after the climbing between Pakistan and India following an attack in Pahalgam, located in the Kashmir of Indian illegal occupation (IIOJK).

Speaking to New York Post In an exclusive interview, the 36-year-old president of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) expressed his gratitude for the role of Washington in securing a cease-fire.

“We are incredibly grateful for the role that the US government – President Trump, secretary (of the state) Marco Rubio – has created throughout this crisis to help us all achieve this cease -fire,” said Bilawal.

“But our message was that the ceasefire is a beginning. But, this is only the beginning, and what we are looking for is an aid in our quest for peace by dialogue and diplomacy.”

Bilawal continued by saying that the region was not as safe as before due to the unilateral measures of India. “We are all much less safe because of this conflict than before,” said the young PPP chief.

“The threshold of the complete military conflict between Pakistan and India has been considerably reduced – the lowest he has ever been in our history, following this conflict.”

On April 22, terrorists killed at least 26 civilians in the pahalgam of the Iiojk. New Delhi accused Islamabad of having orchestrated the attack, a complaint rejected by Pakistani leaders.

After the incident, India, acting unilaterally, launched an operation and killed several innocent civilians in attacks not caused against Pakistan. After three days of underestimated attacks of the Indian forces, the armed forces of Pakistan retaliated from the successful operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos, which, according to Islamabad, was carried out in self-defense.

Pakistan has shot down six IAF fighter planes, including three bursts and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nuclear nations ended on May 10 with a cease-fire agreement negotiated by the United States.

Since the Pahalgam incident, Islamabad has repeatedly urged India to share credible evidence with the Pakistani authorities and has called for an impartial and independent investigation by international organizations.

Speaking in London on June 9, Bilawal said: “India accused Pakistan of participating in the attack by Pahalgam without any evidence. We have offered an independent international investigation into the incident. ”

The Pakistani delegation which visited Washington last week said that Pakistan was open to working with India on efforts to fight terrorism. However, they firmly denied any involvement in the recent IIOJK attack.

“The Prime Minister of Pakistan offered an impartial international investigation because we were convinced that Pakistan is not involved in this terrorist incident,” said Zardari.

“The international intelligence community approves this point of view.”

“While things arise now, if there is a terrorist attack anywhere in India,” he continued, “it immediately means war, and the reciprocity law means, therefore, if there is a terrorist attack in Pakistan, we must also treat it as an act of war.”

The young politician also warned that the threat of India to block the water supply of Pakistan was a serious problem, the appellant “an existential question” and saying that it would be considered “an act of war”.

“If we want to engage in a new dialogue with India, make new promises with each other who could potentially lead to new treaties, it is very important that they respect the old treaties such as the industrial water Treaty,” he said.

After visits to Washington, New York and London, the high -level parliamentary delegation of Islamabad has reached Brussels.

The delegation of nine members led by Bilawal will hold meetings with senior officials of the European Union and Belgium during his visit to Brussels.

Responsible for highlighting the provocations and assault of New Delhi against Islamabad, the delegation will inform the European authorities on the anti-Pakistani intentions of India and aggressive actions. With the European authorities, the delegation should also meet the main European reflection groups and international media representatives in Brussels.
