
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government led by PTI-PTI-A presented in the provincial budget a total expenditure of RS2.119 billion for the year 2025-26.
Presenting the budget, the KP Minister of Finance, AFTAB Alam, said that total turnover had been estimated at $ 2119 billion against the estimated expenditure of 1,962 billion, thus showing an excess amount of 157 billion.
The province will receive a total of RS1 147 billion rupees under federal transfers.
The Minister of Finance Alam announced that a total of RS547 billion rupees had been proposed for the annual development program (ADP), including 40 billion rupees for merged districts.
He said that about RS363bn had been allocated to the education sector.
The minister said that a total of RS276BN had been allocated to the health sector.
The government has allocated RS158 billion to improve the situation of the law and of order in the province.
The Minister of Finance said that 55 billion rupees had been proposed for the local government and rural development, while RS32BN for public health engineering and 46 billion rupees for the irrigation service.
About RS17 billion RS were allocated to the development of livestock and dairy products in the province.
The Minister of Finance said that, keeping inflation in view, the government has decided to give a 10% increase in wages while 7% PC in pensions.
AFTAB Alam Afridi has announced to improve the minimum monthly salary at RS40,000.
