
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks across the country will remain closed for the public transaction on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, respecting the annual holidays marking the start of the new fiscal year.
According to a press release published by the Central Bank, the holidays apply to all banks, financial development institutions (DFI) and microfinance banks (MFB), which suspend public transactions for the day.
“The Pakistan State Bank will remain closed for public transactions on July 1, 2025 (Tuesday), which will be observed as a holiday.
“All banks / DFI / MFB must therefore remain closed for the management of the public on the aforementioned date. However, the employees of banks / DFI / MFB will assist in the office as usual,” said the press release.
