- PTI’s Latif Khosa sees ‘abandoned scene’ ahead of November 24.
- He says the government cannot last a single day if the establishment becomes neutral.
- We planned to counter the government’s tactics, says lawyer Saif.
While the ruling coalition and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are strategizing their respective strategies amid the “do or die” protest in Islamabad, the latter announced on Monday that it had surprised the government on November 24.
Speaking on Geo News show “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath”, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson and PTI leader Advocate Muhammad Ali Saif said, “We will give them (the federal government) a surprise, Inshallah.
Last week, PTI founder Imran Khan, behind bars since August last year, issued a “final call” for a nationwide protest against allegations of electoral fraud in the February 8 elections, the arrests of party members and the vote on February 26. Amendment. He called on his supporters to march towards Islamabad next Sunday.
Lawyer Saif accused the CM Maryam Nawaz-led government in Punjab of launching a crackdown on the party’s supporters and leaders ahead of the nationwide protests.
“105 PTI leaders and supporters arrested by Punjab Police.”
Referring to the alleged crackdown on his party members in Punjab, the PTI leader said they were sure that the government would use all “unconstitutional and illegal tactics” to defeat their protest.
“Families of PTI supporters are being harassed during searches of their houses in Punjab,” he alleged.
Furthermore, the Islamabad administration imposed Section 144 for two months before the possible PTI protest in the capital, citing security concerns.
Asked how they would reach Islamabad amid imposition of Article 144 and obstructions on roads leading to the federal capital, the PTI leader said, “We have planned to counter these tactics. We will reach Islamabad and register our protest even if the government uses force against them.
He further said that they were mobilizing people and workers in an organized manner and would “adopt all strategies to reach Islamabad and register protests”.
Lawyer Saif criticized the federal government for engaging in discriminatory behavior against the former ruling party, urging people to support his party.
Responding to another question on the tasks assigned to PTI lawmakers to bring thousands of workers to the federal capital, lawyer Saif termed it a “performance appraisal” of the party leaders.
According to reports, the former prime minister’s wife Bushra ordered each PTI and MPA MP to bring at least 10,000 and 5,000 workers respectively to Islamabad for the protest.
They were also asked to share videos of their caravans with PTI leaders.
Reacting to PTI’s announcement to bring thousands of party supporters from each district, PML-N Senator Talal Chaudhry said there was no public transport in Faisalabad to bring 20,000 people.
He said PTI’s nationwide protest call was not a political move like its past decisions.
Chaudry said the PTI’s protest call would not succeed due to the decisions taken by Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi.
He said the target set for PTI leaders to bring thousands of workers to the federal capital was not achievable.
“Abandon the stage before November 24”
Speaking on Geo News show ‘Capital Talk’, PTI leader and senior lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa said, “Imran Khan will be 100% released from jail in November. »
“They (leaders) will face another shock of their lives,” he said, adding that the government would forget February 8, the day of general elections in the country and what PTI claimed to have won 180 seats, on November 24. .
Khosa said “the sea of people would sweep away the government”.
“Never underestimate the power of the people anywhere, and never underestimate the power of the people of Pakistan.”
Responding to a question on Khan’s release from prison, the PTI leader said the “dropping scene” would take place before November 24.
“If the establishment becomes neutral, this government will not be able to last even a single day,” the PTI leader said.
