Leaders among the 30 terrorists killed in KP operations Blogging Sole

Rawalpindi:

At least 30 terrorists were eliminated during three separate military commitments in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, a province where the security situation remains unstable because of its proximity to Afghanistan, where terrorists seem to have carte blanche to orchestrate attacks at the ‘Interior of Pakistan.

“On January 24 and 25, 2025, thirty Khwarij were killed in three separate fights in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” the media branch of the army, the ISPR, said in a statement on Saturday evening.

The army uses the term “Khwarij” to designate terrorists belonging to the illegal violent groups who found refuge in Afghanistan after their confusion from the former tribal belt during the 2014 military operation called Zarb-Ezb.

Sharing the details of military commitments, the ISPR said that an intelligence -based operation (IBO) had been carried out by the security forces in the Lakki Marwat district.

“During the operation, our own troops actually attacked a location in Khwarij and, therefore, 18 KHWARIJ were sent to hell, while six KHWARIJ were injured,” the statement added.

Another IBO was led by security forces in the neighboring Karak district. “During the exchange of fire that followed, eight Khwarij were effectively neutralized by the security forces,” added the PSSPR press release.

Meanwhile, a third military commitment took place in the Bagh region, in the Khyber district, where the security forces “managed to neutralize four Khwarij, including the heads of the Kharji Azizur Rehman, alias Qari Ismail, and Kharji Mukhlis, while two Khwarij were injured. ”

According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from dead terrorists, who were actively involved in many terrorist activities in the region against the security forces as well as against innocent civilians.

“Disinfection operations are underway to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area,” said the media branch of the army, while reiterating the determination of the security forces to eliminate the country’s terrorist threat.

The IBOs intervened two days after the security forces neutralized six terrorists in the Zhob district in Balutchistan, thwarting their attempt to sneak in Pakistan from Afghanistan. “On the night of January 22 to 23, the movement of a Khwarij group, who were trying to infiltrate the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, was captured by the security forces in the Sambaza region in Zhob, “the ISPR said on Thursday.

“Our own troops have indeed hired and thwarted their attempted infiltration. Consequently, six Khwarij were sent to hell. A large amount of weapons, ammunition and explosives have also been recovered,” the statement added.

Pakistan has constantly asked the Afghan temporary government to ensure effective border management on its side. “The Afghan temporary government is expected to fulfill its obligations and refuse the use of Afghan soil by the Khwarij to perpetuate acts of terrorism against Pakistan,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the security forces for their courage in the elimination of terrorists during successful operations in the districts of Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber.

“The assassination of 30 terrorists during various operations is an important achievement for the security forces,” the president said in a statement published by his office. President Zardari assured that security operations will continue until the terrorists’ eradication. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unshakable commitment in favor of the elimination of terrorist elements.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the security forces for their successful operations against Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in the districts of Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber.

He appreciated the security forces for eliminating 30 Khawarij terrorists during operations. He said the whole nation was alongside the security forces in the war against terrorism. He said the government was determined to eliminate all forms of terrorism in the country.
