Karachi: After the supporters of Mutthida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) protested against a new organizational reshuffle one day, Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal said on Sunday that there was no difference between leaders of the party on administrative issues.

The declarations occurred after the MQM-P workers protested against the headquarters of Bahadurabad to express their dissatisfaction with regard to the allocation of various organizational positions.

Activists also expressed their frustration away from several leaders on the distribution of responsibilities in addition to raising concerns concerning the lack of consultation before issuing the circular, according to sources.

Some reports suggest that some people even clashed with party officials during demonstrations.

Talk to Geo NewsSattar condemned the demonstrations against the governor of Sindh, Kamran Tessori and Kamal and swore disciplinary measures against those responsible.

It was of the opinion that the organization of a joint session of the members of the MQM-P of the national and provincial assemblies in Karachi was a symbol of the unity.

“Kamran Tessori is the public and the Governor of MQM and will be”, Sattar categorically showed his support in Tessori. He continued by saying that the party’s administrative affairs issues had been resolved yesterday.

During a press conference at the headquarters of the party, Kamal also said that the MQM-P became stronger day by day and that no crack had surfaced in the rows of the party.

He said that the difference in opinion could not be called a rift within the party. Stressing yesterday’s demonstrations, the former mayor of Karachi said that the workers were asking for a clarification on who had made decisions concerning the allocation of responsibilities.

The leader of the MQM-P said that workers discussed the questions related to the party’s responsibilities that could be seen in a sequence from the Bahadurabad headquarters.

He urged MQM-P legislators to pay attention to the public problems which gave them a mandate to Karachi and Hyderabad. Kamal said pubic problems would be resolved after the party is fully activated.

On Saturday, the party published a circular announcing new organizational responsibilities. However, the new movement has intensified internal discord, causing a strong reaction from workers and certain leaders.

High leaders Anes Qaimkhani, Aminul Haq and Dr Farooq Sattar were included in the central organizing committee.

The demonstrators expressed their grievances and chanted slogans in support of the president of the Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui party and against Kamal. Some workers have also raised concerns about the lack of consultation before publishing the circular.

Meanwhile, speculation appeared concerning the role of Governor Tessori in recent decisions, because slogans would have been raised against him during demonstrations. However, some leaders have denied such incidents.
