Islamabad: The names of the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Vice-President Shah Mehmood Qureshi are significantly absent from a report by the cabinet committed by the government’s government concerning the alleged incentive of violence on May 9, 2023.

The report, which was presented to the current federal cabinet, details the alleged roles of several PTI leaders in attacks against military facilities.

Although he discusses the involvement of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, and accuses him of actively planning the events of May 9, the names of Elahi and Qureshi do not appear in a way. Despite this, the two leaders continue to deal with several FIRs linked to the May 9 incidents.

The report underlines how dozens of PTI leaders would have prompted violence, which led to what was described as an unprecedented attack on state institutions.

The omission of Elahi and Qureshi of the conclusions of the guardian government raises questions, in particular because the two remain tangled in the legal battles linked to the violence of May.
