- They express FAZL’s concerns before the formation of the great alliance.
- Reunion is also focused on collective work within Parliament.
Islamabad: the Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) have spoken to strengthen the platforms of the opposition parties, The news reported on Monday.
The secretary general of the PTI, Salman Akram Raja, and the former president of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser would have been present at the meeting held in the parliaments. Senator Kamran Murtaza and MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri represented JUI-F at the meeting.
Raja informed the leaders of the JUI-F of the founding president of the PTI, Imran Khan, on the Union against the Government and for the supremacy of the rule of law and the Constitution.
Haideri and Murtaza exposed the point of view of their chef Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his concerns before following the formation of a great alliance. Reunion has also focused on how to work collectively within Parliament on important national issues and possible legislation in the future.
There have been contacts between the two parties in recent months, but significant progress could not be made for a working relationship. However, recently, a committee of two members, made up of Qaiser and Murtaza, was formed to open the way to move forward.
In January, a PTI delegation met Fazl and officially invited him to join the opposition alliance, namely the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-E-Pakistan (TTAP).
Meanwhile, JUI-F had transmitted its conditions and reservations to the PTI to join the great opposition alliance, The news reported on March 8, citing sources saying.
The sources said that the management of Jeu -F had informed Qaisar of the conditions – some of which were also linked to the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur – if he were to join the opposition alliance.
The development came in the context of the efforts accelerated by the Party based on Imran Khan to form a large opposition alliance to launch an anti-government movement after Eid Ul FITR followed its directives so that PTI leaders are approaching each political party to form a large opposition alliance and launch an antigan movement.
In April 2024, the PTI formed the TTAP, a multi-part opposition alliance including the SIC, the PKMAP, the National-Mégal Party of Balutchistan, Jamaat-I-Islami and Majlis Wahdat-I-Muslimeen.
While, after the talks between the government and the opposition collapsed in January, the PTI did another boost to establish a joint front against the ruling coalition by rope in the former first Shahid Khaqan Abbasi earlier this month to be part of its movement.
In February, TTAP leaders also organized a two -day conference, which held the “rigged” general elections on February 8, 2024 responsible for the economic, political and social crises in progress with which the country faced.
The opposition theater asked to abolish all the amendments that contradict the spirit of the Constitution. The conference described the “crawling violation of constitutional rights and human rights” a complete negation of the rule of law in the country.
On the other hand, the recent remarks of Gandapur targeting the chief of Jui-f Fazl caused an uproar in the ranks of the Religo-Political Party.
The JUI-F had previously warned that the comments of the KP chief minister on his chief could seriously harm a potential alignment.
“The declarations of KP CM CM Ali Amin Gandapur cause pain in the cause of his party (PTI) … A great opposition alliance is in preparation, but dissident votes emerging from the PTI,” said head of Jui-F Hamdullah, speaking in the PTI ” Geo News “Naya Pakistan” program on Saturday.
Last week, addressing a private news channel, Gandapur had rejected Fazl as a “threat”, saying that the Chief Jui-F did not mean anything for him. “As the Alliance opposition is underway, we have to speak to all kinds of festivals – large and small,” he said.
“I don’t want to say too much … or they will complain to Imran Khan that I am too hard on Maulana Sahab,” he added.
