In life (often, in movies), things should get worse before they improve a little. In the movie “The Worse”, the first appearance of the diverse and varied star “The Transparent” star, the first appearance of “Amy Lander”, a writer and director, life has become a great chaotic for Lauren, who is Umm Sabr and recently, trying to give a different direction to her life with her new freedom.
It was customary that characters such as Lauren-which are usually defined through that the phrase “women above a certain age” causing use and excessive-was a scarcity of cinema. But these days – especially given many wonderful modern versions of all sizes such as “Suze” and “Bridget Jones: Mad to the Boy” and “The Idea of You” and even “Babygirl” – we do not seem to live in the same cinematic world, who refused to recognize the existence, facts and complex sexual desires of women, well, Above a certain age. This is definitely good news for all audiences (well, especially for us, elderly women) and it seems that curious artists such as Landecker feel more empowering to honor the complications of their reality with the development of life and take unexpected turns.
But this also means that we now have a lot of reference points and high -beans that must be taken into account during the weight of a movie like “The Worse”. As such, the humble Landecker’s picnic but the beloved does not always feel refreshed based on every scene. I have seen some of what I got here before-there is an innovative young wife, and she carries the shelves from Lauren, there is an annoyingly absolute broker, and there are some unaware GEN-Z characters but they are friendly, and there is the usual laughter when well independence but historian, Gen-XR mistakely used the wrong sexual identity, and so on. But among all the elements of this review list, Landecker still transmits a sensitive fact about aging a fracture that almost no one tells you. And it goes like this: Choose any group, and there will always be a variation between the age you feel, and the age you are already, and young people assume that you are when you look at you. For at least a period of time, these contradictions will only grow.
Landecker does not explain this revelation completely, but the feeling of its weight through Lauren’s extraordinary adventures, but the bold still looks like a small -sized treatment when it is recorded for the acting category for commercial ads. It is studied by Gaby Hoffman, which raises part of the stereotype), the Lauren category offers young ambitious actors from all aspects of life. Among them is the attractive partner on the screen (Niko Heraja), with whom she shares mutual gravity and the possibility of something else. While encouraging her grief Bestie Julie (other movie, but Messi Bale shines), Lauren tends to feel her feelings towards Sean. Unfortunately, after the cyst on the bladder is very honest and embarrassingly liberated in the bedroom, their peel is cut. (Note: Every woman may enjoy a noble man like Sean in such a difficult situation.)
However, fortunately, the above -mentioned accident does not prevent Lauren from attending a wedding with Sean in Palm Springs, when things take a real turn towards the self -realization of Lauren. Lauren behaves like an irresponsible young man in her greatest body from some understandable jealousy, and Lauren finally begins to reconcile the above contradictions in her life, with a few help from absolute divorce and potential romantic interest Dave (Bradley Witford, the real Landker partner).
With an important slice of “Worse” that takes place around the wedding celebrations, Landecker pays love to the party’s features, as it displays the occasion of vibrant Palm Springs with reasonable costumes and adornment. It also implants the younger characters of the story – which is played by the likes of Kersisi Cleimmers, Claudia Soliesky and Lev Huyson – with details of taking into account and deepening the topics of the movie. Thanks to this attention on the side of Landecker, the “for the worst” wedding is a pleasant relationship to watching: part of romance, and the comedy that depends on the old difference.
However, the heroine of everything is the same, who plays the role of Lauren with Gusto as a woman who increases her era, which he got well and permanently. It also gives Lauren the generous conclusion (or the new beginning) it deserves. The “worse” may be a small step between its type, but it still feels a leap for the studied author, as it ultimately celebrates new beginnings as a milestone.
