Rawalpindi: incarcerated the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, said on Tuesday that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) speaker should submit his resignation if a decision was made by the party committee.

Khan’s statement was cited by PTI chief, Azam Swati, who met him today at the Adiala prison in Rawalpindi.

Speaking of the media outside the prison premises, Swati said he had met the founder of the PTI with two other leaders.

He said Khan had expressed confidence in the loyalty of Salman Akram Raja to the party, saying that the latter would not go against the leadership of the PTI.

He also said that they had informed the founder of the PTI on corruption in Manshra, adding that he had urged Khan to present the questions related to the party committee.

It should be noted here that the former ruling party had formed a committee of three members to keep an eye on the KP government and ensure that none of the members of the cabinet could be involved in implication in improper use of power or corruption in the province.

According to The newsKhan suggested that former governor Shah Farman, the main lawyer Qazi Anwar and the party member of the National Assembly of the Malakand region, Junaid Akbar Khan, are part of the committee.

However, Akbar was then abandoned from the committee and replaced by Brig (retired) Mussadiq Abbasi. Abbasi is currently working as a special assistant to the chief minister of KP, Ali Amin Gandapur, on the anti-corruption.

Swati, addressing the media, also said that the founder of the PTI had also ordered the immediate inversion of the appointments made by the president of PTI KP, Akbar. He added that they had told Khan that Akbar was doing a good job as a party leader in the province of Pti-Ruled.

In addition, Khan has also been informed of PTI issues in Punjab, Swati said. He said that Aliya Hamza was obstructed. He said Sardar Khan and Ikram Ullah also faced accusations of corruption.

Commenting on Khan’s prison sentence, Swati said they had to obtain a release for the founder of the PTI.

The former minister said KP CM was not a silent spectator on corruption, and he met Khan after obtaining the permission from Gandapur.

PTI Secretary General Raja also addressed the media outside the prison. He said he would discuss related questions with Akbar following Swati’s declaration.

Raja said that a discussion could take place on complaints against the management of Punjab. However, he excluded intestine struggles among the leaders of Punjab, whatever certain minor differences.

Before this development, the leaders of the PTI, who met at Adiala prison to meet Khan, had arguments with prison officials after several leaders were not allowed to enter the premises.

The leaders understood Swati, Nadia Khattak, Mubashhir Awan, Raja, Niaz Ullah Niazi, Faisal Malik and Shoaib Shaheen. However, the prison administration only allowed Swati, Khattak and Mubashhir to meet the founder of the PTI.

Raja criticized that prison officials chose people to meet Khan despite the judicial orders who ordered Adiala administration to follow a list that himself provided, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan or Intezar Panjutha.

After an exchange of hard words, the prison administration allowed some PTI leaders to meet Khan.

Last week, the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) restored the days of visit for the imprisoned founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, allowing people to meet him every Tuesday and Thursday.

Only people whose names are provided by the coordinator of the founder of PTI, Raja, will be allowed to meet him.

The latest development of the legal saga on the rights of visit of the former Prime Minister as an acting chief of the IHC, Sarfraz Dogar, heard the arguments combined on said question.

The bench of three members, which also includes judge Arbab Muhammad Tahir and judge Muhammad Azam Khan, were trained by judge Dogar last week who also merged various petitions concerning Khan’s dating rights in response to a plea deposited by prison superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum.
